Release 2.0.62 (from October 14)

Good to know

• Combinations on receipts: A combination article is printed as one line with its name and total price. To list what it contains again, turn on Settings › General › Miscellaneous › Print combination contents on receipts, on each register
• Deactivating a register now erases everything on it, including sales that haven't been sent yet. Before you deactivate, make sure the register is online and its latest receipts show in BackOffice

New Features

• Worldline: When the card terminal needs its day-end before it takes cards, run it straight from the register with Run day-end
• Menu: Reload menu, under Settings › General › Miscellaneous, fetches the whole menu from BackOffice again. Use it if a register shows old buttons or prices, or is missing an article
• Kitchen tickets: Bong printers, under Settings, shows which printer each ticket category prints on, and points out categories that aren't printed anywhere
• Table orders
  • Combination articles can be set up for table orders in BackOffice, either served together or one course at a time
  • The bill shows identical articles from different servings on one row
• Receipts: If a receipt didn't print, you can print it from Receipts or choose no receipt, and the table is closed
• Softpay: The register tells you when the card was presented too early, so you can try again
• A new start screen with the OPEN Two logo

• Card payments: More reliable payments and cancellations with Worldline, Westpay and Softpay
• Printing: The register tells you when its built-in printer is out of paper or its cover is open
• Table orders: Faster table payments, and smaller fixes for table orders and mini stock

BackOffice release (October 12)

New Features

• Reports by email
  • Email any report as a PDF, Excel (XLSX) or CSV file, straight from where you export it
  • Have the reports you choose emailed to you automatically at the end of every day. Set it up under Integrations
  • Email a PDF of a single transaction from its details
• New report: Sales settled per account shows the period's sales and payments for each bookkeeping account
• Accounting
  • Send your bookkeeping to Accounted automatically at the end of every day, or whenever you choose. Set it up under Integrations
  • Connect to your own Accounted installation instead of the cloud service
  • Restaurants in Finland can send their bookkeeping to Netvisor. Set it up under Integrations
  • If an integration stops working, you see it on its card under Integrations and in a banner at the top of BackOffice
• Online orders: Print a packing slip to go with an online order, when you accept it or when you complete it. Set it up under Cashier workflow
• Customers: Change a customer's customer number on their page
• Cash register: A new Scan coupon button in the cart scans QR codes with discounts, for example from Voyado. Turn it on under Settings › Cash register › Cart actions

Release 2.0.61 (October 8)

New Features

• Report permissions
  • The articles report, the tax journal and the campaign discount report now work like the X and Z reports: only users with permission can open them
  • Owner and Administrator already have the permissions. If you've made your own roles, add them under Company › User roles, then ask staff to sign out and back in on the register
• Start screen: Choose which screen each register starts on, under Settings › General › Home screen. The register goes back there every time someone signs out
• Checking a register
  • Run test, under Settings, checks the network, the connection to OPEN, the printer and each card terminal, without charging or printing anything. When it's done, Copy result lets you paste the report into a message to support
  • Find, under Settings › Payment terminal, makes a card terminal show its name on screen, so you can tell which one is which. It's shown for terminals running the latest version
• Cart and receipts
  • In the cart, tap the pencil, open a row like 4 × the same dish, and pick just one to delete, discount or mark as takeaway
  • Refund several of the same article at once
  • Filter receipts by register
  • See VAT per rate on X and Z reports

BackOffice release (October 1)

New Features

• Storage
  • Count stock in boxes, bottles and cl, from stocktaking to orders, deliveries and withdrawals
  • Find storage articles by searching, sorting, or filtering by product group, category and unit
  • The storage guides are updated too. Start with About storage
• Ticket categories can be named freely, created without articles, and are listed alphabetically
• Display categories: Reorder even large display categories from a searchable list. Each move is saved straight away
• Transactions: Print them as a one-page report, or export them with one row per sold article
• PowerOffice Go (Norway): Export your accounting for a period you choose, or export a period again

• Table map: When you drag a table, it snaps into line with the tables around it
