Creating and managing bar tabs
When a guest orders at the bar and wants to keep an open bill, you can move their items to a named bar tab.
Create a new bar tab
Starting point: Direct Sale cart
Add the guest’s items to the cart.

Tap More options.
Select Move to table.

Choose your Bar area (selected by default).

In the text field, enter a name for the tab (for example “John” or “Group by window”).
Tap Move.

✅ Done! The cart is now empty. The cart items have been sent to the bar tab (technically, a “table order”).

Fired automatically
As soon as the items are moved, they are automatically fired to the kitchen/bar printer—no extra step needed.
Add more items to an existing tab
Add the new items to your cart.
Tap More options → Move to table.

Select your Bar area.
Choose the existing tab from the list (or search by name).

✅ Done! The cart is now empty. The items have been moved to the tab.

Added to bill & fired automatically
The new items are added to the same bar tab and fired automatically.

More payment options
- Split the bill: Divide the tab between multiple guests.
- Article portion: Split individual items (e.g., several guests share a bottle of wine).
Tips & notes
- “Tables” in the Bar area represent open bar tabs. Even though they’re not tied to physical tables, they’re managed in the same familiar way.
- All items moved to a bar tab are immediately fired—no need to manually send them to the kitchen.
- You can name each bar tab freely (at least one character is required).
- You can always view and manage bar tabs from the regular Tables page if needed.
